It was a really good Sunday with lots going on. The evening started with Ukulele club at 6 pm which was a lot of fun and ended with all of us singing Amazing Grace together (aww!)
The service started (lots of new faces, yay!) with Nat introducing and it was nice to have a slightly different running order which seemed to go down well and was nicely balanced. Nat led prayers taken from the prayers which are said at confirmations/christenings where people often pray for the child to grow stronger in faith as they grow up. Following this, we got into groups and prayed that each other’s “faith will be stronger when we are 80 than it is now” and that we would not grow bitter.
Team Matt did a really good job of taking us through Philippians and explaining why we can/should be confident in God – He gives us gifts so we should be confident to use them for His glory.
(Thanks to Shaz for this post!)
