As usual on the first Sunday of the month we enjoyed a plentiful supply of delicious cakes and cookies – thank you to everyone who bought something.
We were led in our table discussions by Millie Swan who talked about tax justice and provided us with lots of helpful information and Christian Aid leaflets on the subject. After discussions there was an opportunity to pray about the issues and ask God to bring His justice.
We welcomed Bishop Clive for a question and answer session. We discovered that he plays chess, eats museli for breakfast and had a sense of calling into ordained ministry while working in an Oast House.
Revd Keith Duckett, who is the chaplain at the Kings School, also joined us and gave us his answers to some of the theological questions which were posed.
The evening ended with us sharing Holy Communion together and celebrating our unity together because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us all.
